Weekly Rant

Hey there! I know it's been a while, but I think that I am coming back. We have no writers except me, so, if anyone actually reads this, they can join. Remember, you can write about practically anything, be it food, to instances, to PvP, I need all the help I can get. WoW Journal ftw!!!

Weekly Rant: Leveling... or THE END?

You know, in my opinion, leveling sucks. Real life always gets in the way, whether it be in school, friends, or family, RL always seems to be a plug to my leveling.

I have played this game for over two years, and I am only level 59. Seriously. Granted, I was sampling other classes for a year, but I should have gotten to level cap at least three months ago. I really wish that I could just sit down for a weekend and level, but we all know that isn't going to happen. =P

In truth, I have begun the lose interest in WoW. My slow leveling is a major part of it. But another HUGE part of my dilemma is that I crave for the end-game content, but my life prevents me from the focus and hours needed to be able to raid. I went paintballing for the first time this weekend, and as I was shooting a guy in the leg I was thinking, "Damn.. I like this tremendously more than sitting in my uncomfortable chair with my uncomfortable keyboard, typing and playing with people I don't even know for endless hours in the dark. Perhaps I should redirect my funds..."

It scared me. This was the first time in 2 years that I thought of stopping my WoW subscription. And I think that I may actually stop playing. WoW has lost its shine, and maybe it just needs a little buff, but I think that the opportunity to stop playing is right in my nose. I might just snatch it...

Weekly Rant: Octale and Hordak

Hello again! This week, I am promoting Octale and Hordak. They are the Internet radio people who talk about WoW and general gaming. With some wittiness, humor, and tons of "drop ins" they lighten up any day, and provide some gaming information at the same time.

Every Sunday at 2pm EST, 7pm GMT, these two tear it up. There is a hour music preshow, where you can listen to great music, and talk on the IRC. Gamers beware! Octale and Hordak are versus the World, and they are out to get you!

Weekly Rant: Too selfless?

That's right people. There is such a thing as being too selfless. People who would rather see a selfish person get something that they, the selfless person, actually need. I know that some of you out there are thinking, "Too nice? Drack must be off his rocker!" Well, indeed I am.

I'm looking at you, Willow and Dez.

Anyway, I think that when people hand you money, you should accept it. These people are against human nature to be so nice! Greed, power and lust are humans most primal instincts. However, these "super players" are not supposed to be. They force back the instinctive greed, and that I congratulate them on. However, there comes a time for you to relax and kick back, allowing you kindness to pay off, and watch others around you acting like you have; giving large tips, refusing money, helping on PuGs and running lowbies through instances.

There is a time and place for everything, "Guild Mothers", and the people in your guild should allow you to chill out sometimes, and not have to worry about anyone else...

Just my little rant of the the week. Kinda got me ticked off when my guildie wouldn't take our money (the guilds donations) for an epic 100% faster mount...she's level 69. She deserves a good mount.

Well, I'm a nerd, and this is Drackthor...

Until next time,
