Winter Veil: Alright, I had fun...

Yes, I had fun during Winter Veil. The reindeer mounts are awesome and the quest text is unique. I found that I was the only one who had the reindeer mount up, and well, thats just fun.





The presents were great but they were also new stuff to me. The Snowmaster 9000 and the Apple Cider recipes were a good addition to my stock. The people around me, many Gnomes wearing all green or red costumes, I had to laugh. I even took a picture.


The Metzen reindeer quests basically explains itself, but knowing me, I had to go a redo it for some reason. Yeah...

However, the Greench quest was harder. I didn't have an exact spot to go to. I had to search... So that was interesting and I liked it. It brings a challenge to this game.

Great Father Winter: Just Another Mob?

I was the first Alliance character on my server to talk to Great Father Winter, and it was not fulfilling. I sat for two hours and waited for him, partly because I messed up the time, but also, I thought that something magical would happen when he spawned. Well, he spawned. He didn't walk in, or fly in on reindeer. He just spawned. He didn't even say a "Ho-ho-ho." Nada. Zilch.

Yeah, so that was a total waste of time. I have a screen of myself chilling by the mailbox, waiting for Ol' Santy Clause. And I regret to admit that I am a total nerd for waiting for him.

To me, Winter Veil is more than a time to get items like Preserved Holly, or little elves running around behind you. Winter Veil is more than the presents or the unique quests that this event offers. Winter Veil is even more than the cooking recipes that Great Father Winter dishes out. No, Winter Veil is more than that. Winter Veil is about the thing that goblins are always thinking about: money.

The goblins at Smokywood Pastures are always thinking of you, the customer. They sell snowballs and cooking materials and, my favorite, the cooking recipes. This year they are selling nothing new.

Like I said, money. Money is what Winter Veil is all about. If I were you, I would be farming Small Eggs to sell for insane amounts just because some people are lazy. I like that. That is what a good business man does. He finds something that people don’t want to do, like leave Ironforge to get a few eggs, and he jumps on it. He might farm for half an hour to get eggs, and he already has 30g. Quite a triumph. Easy cash. Get out there. Go do some farming. Go before everyone else goes.
