Elven Legends: The Quest

My first libram was Libram of Protection. I simply was helping clean out the guild bank, and they tossed one my way. This sat in my bank awhile before I found it and wondered. I had never seen it before, and I was curious. So, I snooped around and dug up some ice.

That's right. Ice. Not dirt. Ice. The stuff I found was brilliant. These librams could be turned in for a special enchant. Very good! So I checked up on Thottbot, and I asked for an opinion from a player since Beta. It turned out positive. These librams were an ingenious idea that would not ever be exploited very much after Burning Crusade.

So, now, I'll go step by step through the first part of this multi-part quest.

First, the quest Elven Legends must be completed. To do this, head to Feathermoon Stronghold in Feralas. There, Scholar Runethorn will tell you that he needs to hear from a Kariel Winthalus.
Go east and get to DM. Get to DM North.

There is a left-right pathway overlooking a courtyard ahead of you. There is a mob with dogs who walks down there (in a circle, so you can go after him) and another one who walks to the ramp and back (so wait until he is heading away from the ramp). Avoid those at all costs! There is no point in fighting them!

When the coast is clear, go forward toward the courtyard and turn left. Almost immediately on your right is a ramp heading down into the courtyard.

You need to jump up on the left wall of the ramp. It's tricky, and it might take a few tries. You cannot walk down this ramp into the courtyard because you will draw aggro from 4 elites. Likewise, when you are coming back up you will definitely draw aggro unless you have some invisibility potion or feign death at your disposal.

From the wall jump down on the grass and walk toward the other ramp, which heads west. This ramp has another locked door at the bottom which leads to a tunnel going to the Library. When you open the door there's a long tunnel going straight there - no aggro at all.

The NPC for Elven Legends is a skeleton on the floor next to Lorekeeper Lydros. 'talk' with the skeleton, return to the quest giver in Feathermoon and you're ready for the Libram quests.
